With effect from 1st October 2004 French Consulate will be using V.F.S. Services in which we have to follow the below procedure :
VCS is one of the register agent for the French consulate (Total of 30 agents in Mumbai)
No agent, passenger, company people, corporate can go to consulate without prior appointment.
We have to take prior appointment with the V.F.S.for submission of cases in the consulate. The consulate has permitted only 8/12 cases per day and it will be on 1st cum 1st serve bases.
Time taken will be 3 working days to process the visa.
Please plan your passengers departure at least ten days prior to submission.
The day we receive your documents we will not submit the case to the consulate on the same day since we have to register the name of the passenger through their web-site and they will give us appointment for the submission.
There will be no urgent visas at all.
Once in a week or ten days there is a group submission day, One can take group prior appointment for all submissions together on such days.
There will be an additional cost of Rs. 440/- (VFS Charges)
Documents requirements will be the same as usual.
Passengers who are coming directly to the consulate also will have to take prior appointment through Tel : 91 022 5631 4000

If Pax is going more than 30 days for tourist, then he needs to apply for Sponsorship. {Attestation De accuate}
If Pax is going on Business more than 15/30 days, {for Software Develop or any other training purpose} then he needs to apply for DDTEFP approval. {Department Du Travel Emigration}. BEFORE APPLYING FOR VISA.
From 13th November 2006 the French Consulate has started Biomatrix Procedure in which all passengers for fingerprinting at the consulate. (childrens below 6 years are not required to come for Fingerprinting) We will take Appointment with VFS Center for Submission & after Submission Passenger has to come next working day for Fingerprinting
After passengers finish Fingerprints Process the Passport is delivered to the Passenger in Half an hour at the consulate.
The Visa Fee will be NON REFUNDABLE even if your visa is REFUSED & EVEN IF PASSENGER DOES NOT COME FOR FINGERPRINTING.
PLEASE BRING PHOTOCOPIES OF ALL DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED.
