DAY 01:
JAMMU - KATRA (56 KMS/ 2 HOURS)
On arrival at the Jammu airport or Jammu railway station
(on your own), drive to Katra and enjoy the evening at
leisure.
DAY 02:
KATRA
Embark on a 13 km trek to the Vaishnodevi Mata shrine
(ponies can be hired on direct payment basis). After 'darshan',
return to your hotel at night.
DAY 03:
KATRA - PAHALGAM (270 KMS/ 7 HOURS)
Drive to Pahalgam today. Arrive in Pahalgam and check
into your hotel.
DAY 04:
PAHALGAM
Spend the day at leisure to admire the beauty of this
quiet place. Enjoy a pony ride to nearby places like
Chandanwadi (ponies can be hired directly).
Alternatively, you can enjoy a walk along the River
Lidder.
DAY 05:
PAHALGAM-SRINAGAR (97 KMS/ 2 HOURS)
Drive to Srinagar. Enroute visit the Awantipura ruins,
an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. On
arrival into Srinagar, check into your hotel /
houseboat. In the afternoon visit the temple of
Shankaracharya and the Mughal Gardens.
DAY 06:
SRINAGAR - EXCURSION TO GULMARG (52 KMS/ 2 HOURS)
Drive to Gulmarg known as the 'Meadow of Flowers'. Enjoy
fun-filled pony rides and gondola rides (on direct
payment basis). Then return to Srinagar. In the evening,
experience a romantic 'shikara ride' on the Dal Lake (on
your own). Overnight stay at hotel in Srinagar.
DAY 07:
SRINAGAR- EXCURSION TO SONMARG (82 KMS/ 4 HOURS)
Proceed on a day excursion to Sonamarg, the 'Meadow of
Gold'. Enjoy a pony ride on the glacier (ponies can be
hired directly). Overnight stay at hotel in Srinagar.
